How to use

Apply liberally at least 15 min before sun exposure. If you apply any sunscreen after you’ve already been in the sun for a bit, the sunscreen is not as effective.

We recommend that you reapply every 80 minutes if swimming or sweating because thats the right thing to do. However we know thats not real life. Thats why we specifically engineered this stuff to really stay put. Just check out some of our reviews!

Is this stuff face or body sunscreen? How do I use it?

The short answer is you can use it anywhere. burnd is gentle enough to use on your face but powerful enough to protect your entire body.

Is it actually water resistant?

Yes, yes it it. We specifically engineered this sunscreen to really stay put, even in the harshest of environments (or just going to the beach).

Does it dry clear on the skin?

Yes *as long as you apply within reason* If you use sunscreen like a normal person, you’ll be in the clear. If you’re cosplaying as a cupcake with a frosting fetish, you’re gonna be left with some white streaks.

Is it going to give me acne?

burnd was made with sensitive skin in mind. Unlike most sunscreens on the market, our formula was specially design to protect your skin WITHOUT clogging pores.

That being said you’re always vulnerable to irritating your skin if you decide to put some sort of foreign cream on it. So no, it should not cause acne but if you have any problems, just let us know and we will completely refund your money.

Can I apply makeup over the sunscreen?

Yes, and it actually works really well. This is a happy and unintended byproduct of using silicone—the sunscreen won’t mix into or disrupt your makeup. You can put the sunscreen on before or after you craft those perfect contours.

Can I use burnd on my kids?

Our formula’s founder is actually a pediatrician by training and designed the formula to be gentle enough for his toddler and wife.

Almost perfect

For background- I have very fair skin, my dad is a redhead annd and he and other family members that have been treated for squamous and basal cell skin cancers. I also have very sensitive, allergic skin and have to avoid fragrance, essential oils, and propylene glycol to prevent dermatitis and rashes. I have given up completely on being tan, so I have to be extra careful about protecting my skin.
I recently tried out Burnd on a trip to the Caribbean. Each morning I applied a layer of Burnd to start my day, there were a couple of days where I did reapply a different (cheaper ) sunscreen later in the day if I was out in the sun a lot. I didn’t get burned while I was there. I did take precautions to wear UPF clothing and stay in the shade as needed. It worked great. The only reason it’s not getting 5 stars is that it’s a LOT of work to get it rubbed into your skin and because of the physical sun blocker minerals it can transfer a white film to dark clothes, but this is the case with all zinc or titanium based sunscreens. If it were easier to reapply without looking like a vampire, it would be perfect. You absolutely have to have another person do your back.

I am a new resident of S.W. Florida with very fair skin. I have had allergic reactions to at least 3 different mineral sunscreens meant for sensitive skin.
I am so pleased to have found Burnd. I have had zero allergic reactions to Burnd, and I find the sunscreen to be light weight and comfortable, without a white film.

Good so far, but no cap

So far the sunscreen is the best all around I’ve found with zinc. The reason I took off two stars is the bottle has no cap. It’s a twist top and after the sunscreen is used there is always residual on the top. However, the bigger issue is the top is susceptible to all the germs and transfers them to the sunscreen when it comes out which ends up on your face.
